Why HELLO MIKA is exactly right for you

I love coffee (with milk, no sugar – in case we ever meet in person), great food, and clear structures. Anyone who knows me will also tell you: I’m a bit of a series addict, I love travelling, and I often spend my free time outdoors in nature. None of that is directly related to web development – but it says a lot about how I work: curious, focused, and always with an eye on the bigger picture.

That’s why I think it’s nice when you don’t just know what someone does, but also a little about who’s behind it.

I trained as a Marketing Communications Specialist at a well-known full-service advertising agency. There, I was able to dive into many different areas – from strategy and concept development to design and technical implementation. Even back then, I was especially fascinated by building websites and online shops. The combination of technology, structure and creativity never let go of me – and ultimately led me to specialise in web development.

Since then, one thing has been clear: there’s no standing still in this field. Web development is a continuous learning process – which is why I regularly keep myself up to date through self-study courses, meetups and training. That way, I make sure my solutions don’t just work today, but remain solid and sustainable tomorrow as well.

To keep a clear head and fresh energy, I now often work at a standing desk with a treadmill – a small change with a big effect. And I’m supported by my dog Mika, who reliably reminds me to take breaks now and then and look away from the screen.
